Why are we different?

Our goal is to help people to improve their quality of life through providing the highest standard of chiropractic care as well as fun and informative health education.

Our philosophy is based on two main principles;

  • That health is the natural state for the human body, and;
  • The responsibility for maintaining one’s health lies with each individual.

Therefore, we want to give you the knowledge and the skills to really take control of your health. Many people consult health care professionals with the idea that they will be able to “fix” them by administering the appropriate magic pill (or even the right magic chiropractic adjustment). The truth is though that the “magic” does not come from the pill or the adjustment but in how the intelligence of your body responds to those things. You are the star of the show and should be the captain of your healthcare team. We like the analogy of the mountaineer.

That’s you, trying to reach the summit. Our role (and the role of the other members of your healthcare team, for example your G.P., Dentist, massage therapist etc) is that of the Sherpa. We have local knowledge and some skills that will help you reach the peak (vibrant health) but it is you that must climb the mountain.

Your role then is to take responsibility for learning as much as you can about your body and about health and for putting that learning into practice.
